It has been just over a year since the Beacon Hills gang and the Winchesters made their way to Mystic Falls and things a lot has changed since then. Allison is no longer possessed by the demon Myra and is living a normal life, Dean has been freed from the Mark of Cain, Ben lost his life saving another hunter and Klaus has recently broken the curse that was placed on him a thousand years before. Things should be settling down but little do any of the residents of Mystic Falls know that the worst is still yet to come. Azazel has activated his Special Children's powers and is looking to recruit them to his cause while Klaus is trying to figure out the key to creating more hybrids with a little unwilling help from some familiar faces from New Orleans. As if that wasn't bad enough, Derek Hale's transformation into a shapeshifter was only the beginning. Now Matt Donovan has also fallen prey to the unknown foe and has become a kitsune but all around town similar incidents are taking place and it is only a matter of time before the culprit is revealed.

With so many dangerous liaisons right around the corner, devastation is sure to follow.
